I think it can take up to a week for the system to update. IIRC, it took about a week for the GIAC site to update. The date they said they received my transcript was actually 4 days earlier than the date the site was updated.

All international candidates seeking a TOEFL waiver, please do so at the earliest! Your application will be considered incomplete till the time the waiver is approved. It typically takes 2 weeks to reach a decision (on the waiver).

I've been meaning to submit my Texas app for a few weeks but was caught up in other R2 apps that had firm deadlines. Reading all this about how people waiting for 3+ months still haven't gotten a decision, should I even bother at this point? More likely than not, by late April, I'll already know where I'll be going.

I submitted on 12/17 and sent my transcripts and GMAT report in following week.
No status update so called on 1/10 admin office to have my status checked.
following day my status showed all materials received. It took me an additional week to push them let me pay my app fee. It took them a month to process one application. I haven't heard from them since, nervous. Same **** all over again but I do agree that Texas does check your patience..

Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, but does anyone have the address that we are supposed to send official transcripts to? Similar to everyone else, I'm finding the website/app system incredibly difficult to navigate. thanks.

Question for current students:

How exactly do the study groups in the core classes work? Do you have the same group across all classes, or do you have a specific group for each class? The reason I'm asking is because I'm considering taking the exam to receive a waiver on the financial accounting course, but wouldn't want to disadvantage my group.

I don't recall any group projects in accounting, but you are assigned the same study group throughout the core courses.

That is, assuming you've already have gotten, or are reasonably you will get, into program you'd be willing to attend...

B school apps are as random as can be..who knows? Last year some people who applied much later than I (i applied in feb last year) got in after waiting 4 weeks for turnaround, while I languished on the f'ing waitlist. And I had better stats..so you never know. But sounds like McCombs is your back up - this late, it's not a good back up. McCombs was my back up last year, until reality set in that M7 was out of my reach.

Nah, UNC is my backup lol. Nearly every school I've applied to is solidly in the 10-20 ranking range so McCombs is probably right in the middle of the field for me. I'll probably finish my app this weekend but not looking forward to calling the admissions office just so I can pay them.

I had my alum interview on 3 Jan. Have not heard from McCombs yet. The online status check shows that my transcript has not been received. I guess I will just have to keep waiting....

Indian applicants, which service is best for sending your transcripts quickly to the GIAC?

If I will be posting my transcript through registered post - India post , should I be mentioning the mail address or courier address?

I am concerned about the time which will be taken by the ems speed post, any idea?
