@impenetrable: Thanks. I think it helped in that I had a routine going in my mocks. I made a habit of eating a little something in between quant and verbal. I really doubt eating something makes a difference on a physical level unless you're feeling quite hungry or overly full. I had a light breakfast on the day, so decided to eat a banana in each break because I felt like it. Took a bite of the power bar just for the sake of it. Maybe for luck since it was the same one I had when I got the 780 ;)
Overall, I really don't think eating a little something will affect your capability to handle the questions either way, unless you worry too much about it. :)

@rajeev : Thank you :)

This was a fantastic debrief. Congrats and your score. I also think it's a good idea to take the GMAT while still doing undergrad studies, you have way more time on your hands than when you already have a job.

This is one of the best briefs I have ever read. Congratulations on the fantastic score and thank you for spending so much time and effort on this amazing brief. Your post will help many future and current test takers improve their scores and reach their goals.

What I especially liked about your brief was your mental attitude. You were flexible and honest with yourself, but remained positive and determined. In my opinion, these were among the most important elements to your success.

@paddy rao: Thanks :)

@BN1989: Thanks and it was after my grad studies actually. I think I mentioned it there somewhere that I finished my last sem in may last year :)

@crackHSW: Thanks. the hard questions I was referring to are the high numbered questions in OG 12. But your post reminds me that I forgot to mention that I had already gone through Powerscore CR bible before I gave my first MGMAT mock. And I remember liking the questions available in that book too :)

@bmillan01: I'm glad you like it. I did refer to your guide on writing a good debrief more than once while making this thread. Thank you for that guide. In fact, now that I think about it, your debrief helped me as well. I definitely owe you a couple of "thanks" posts and a couple of kudos. :)

That was a great debrief.

I too am your age and also from India, and just like you, I also struggle with quant, while verbal seems like a piece of cake for me.

My test is in 20 days. I can't wait to write a similar debrief.

A very inspiring debrief & congrats on the amazing score! Guess its a good idea to get done with GMAT when you are still fresh out of college.

I am still in the initial stages of my prep & I find SC too much to deal with, the main reason being my less than sufficient knowledge of english grammar. So I've decided to brush up my grammar knowledge & have picked up a wren & martin. Do you think its a good idea or should I start right away with MGMAT SC? I plan to take my test in the last week of July.

@mohitkm: I think MGMAT SC guide does quite a good job of explaining how to specifically tackle SC questions. Its pretty focused on GMAT questions and also has tips on how common certain types of errors are, so I think it might serve you better to go through it first. :)

@everyone else: Thank you and best of luck.

PS: GOT official report. AWA :5.5 Probably an average score of 5 on the issue essay that brought it down.

Karuna: congratualtions.

I have a question- as you have been getting ~45 in verbal, will you please share how many wrong it allows for a score of 45. If you remembe for your MGMT and GMATPRep scores, please share- that will be extremely helpful in formulating my stretegy
