Please look at the school’s requirement of the TOFEL test. Some schools may waive it off while some require it.

Utkarsh, I found your profile intersting. You have a non-traditional profile. If you present your stories in an effective and convincing way, you have a good chance at the top programs.

My Profile brief:
Age: 32 – Female
Work Experience: 6 Years as a facilitator in one financial institution
MBA 3.5 Years – Finance – CGPA 3.72 (Gold Medal) (Despite publishing my research work, Transcript bears no word such as “thesis’)
Intent: Pursuing a PhD in Canadian University while seeking permanent residency
GMAT exam is scheduled for 15th July – target score 650-680
Which universities should I target?? Is there any age restrictions to apply for Universities in Canada ??
Should I consider doing another Masters with transcript bearing term “thesis” or should I confidently apply for PhD???
Sincere advice requested please...

Amna, I think pursuing Masters’s first will be a good idea to later pursue a PH.D.Age should be no bar.

Aastha, If you can show some transferable skills that you will be taking to your post MBA goal in marketing, I don’t see why you can switch careers. MBA is meant for career switchers.
