Phew..Just got interview invitation from VM! This proves that coordinators are not sending out invitation together. Guys, be patient, maybe yours are on the way.

Hi everyone,

Could anyone who has received invites advise when they submitted their apps? I submitted mine on the deadline morning i.e. about 7:30 am Euroepean standard time.

I do believe they are sending out dings, so if you have not heard as yet- your probability remains the same.... invite or ding.

I sent mine in at about 8am (GMT+2) on the day of the deadline and got my mail yesterday so it really doesn't seem like there is any pattern at all.

I submitted my application on December 5th at 1am (Paris time) and received the invitation yesterday. Yet, I don't believe that this is correlated in any way.

Hey,
I got my interview decision on 14th Jan morning. (Dubai). I submitted my application about 20 mins before the Paris deadline. (and submitted an additional document - my CFA lvl 2 result AFTER the deadline)
There is NO pattern here guys.

Hi Peppy,

Words of hope indeed. I do believe there is no correlation. But being used to numbers and patterns and stocks, we tend to seek correlation in everything :).

After all, it is what it is. Wrote the applications as well as I could and will wait for INSEAD's decision. :)

According last year applicants registered on beatthegmat.com, 43 attended interviews, 25 were admitted so the interview success rate was around 58%.
But not sure this sample is representative of all applicants (representativeness.... sounds familiar :P )

That is a little bit disappointing. I had read somewhere that INSEAD accepts most of the interviewees and that an interview with INSEAD is more just to check that you are not a nerd who will never lead or an a-hole. But it is good to know, because it gave me an immediate adrenaline rush - I will beat this interview!!!!!

I think its more like 50% for interview 50% for offer. Which means that getting an interview is half the way there and half of the people interviewed do not make it to INSEAD. So you better do your very best at the interviews since the race is not over until you get the offer.

I feel you bro! I have seen at least three people saying they got dinged. I know that my application is pretty strong, I even got an invite last year with a weaker application but the wait has gotten to me too but we can't do much than just wait it out. In less than 24 hours we should all know until then keep your self busy and try to forget about it.

Also at btg the stats are showing several people being dinged on the 2nd round along with those that have been invited...

Congratulations to all those in R2 who've recieved the interview invite! For me the agonizing wait will continue till tonight! :-)

For those in R1, can you share your interview experiences? I'm in the Bangalore region (India) and am a Product Manager in the B-2-B space. Am guessing the choice of Insead alums is also dictated by the profile of the candidate. So any R1 interviews with similar profile?
