For round 1 applicants we kindly request that you wait until the week of January 7 to contact our office." - We wait this long to say we want to remain on the list (after finding out who our manager is) or do we send a quick e-mail saying I'm in and then call them on the 7th to find our manager and start discussing next steps?? re-waitlisted too. bsch2013...knocking on wood, but i think good things may come if you haven't been wait listed again! The "we need specific additional info from you" were the ones who got in first last year.

I just realized...even though 3/11 is so soon, the decisions date for R2 isn't until 3/21. Seems like a stretch to have lots of admits then, but then again they would've seen/interviewed everyone at that point?

It makes me wonder why they have given 2 dates before R2 decision date. If they're not planning to admit/ding anyone until they make decisions for R2 applicants, then why have them?
