Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread but looks like UCLA might be calling the "superstar" applicants to interview first. I wonder if they are maybe reviewing applications in decreasing order of GMAT or GPA. I've been following closely all the applicants getting invites and they seem to have "high" "GMAT scores. Don't think I've seen anyone under a 700 and I've been seeing a lot of 740's, 750's. Maybe these will come later. Take this theory with a grain of salt, because it's only based on my stalking this board as well as other Business School forums :)

[Edited based on my false understanding of the GMAT ranges at UCLA :) ]

I think you are right. All the early invites went to the ones with high GMAT scores.

I don't think this is true. I got an early interview invite from R2, but my GMAT score is anything but stellar. The rest of my profile is quite good, though.

Ditto to what Icarus said. I'm a round 2 applicant and have already interviewed despite a less than stellar undergrad GPA and a slightly-above-average GMAT score.

Consulting. My MBA is sponsored which probably helps a lot.

And damn Julia, that's a lot of schools you applied to. I had a hard time with 4 applications, I can't imagine writing as many essays as you wrote!

Haha, trust me my November and December were like crazy. But I managed to use the same three stories on a lot of the essays, which helped a lot. Hope my interview invites will come soon!

I just finished an interview with a 2nd year student through Skype.

It was a friendly conversation and lasted only 30 mins though. (20 mins interview + 10mins Questions)

I have done my best and hope to get some good results.

Just joined GMAT club. I applied early decision to Columbia and got rejected without an interview. I applied R2 to Anderson, got interview invitation around 2 weeks later. The interview went smoothly. It didn't feel like it would have any impact on the decision, but there's obviously no way to know for sure. Now, I'm just anxiously play the waiting game. I keep checking my application status on applyyourself, but status still says incomplete despite the fact that the checklist appears to be complete (they received my recommendations, scores and transcripts). Is anybody else having the same issue? Has anybody been contacted saying their application is complete and they are making the final decision?

Hi jbug,

Congrats on the interview. As you have already been interviewed, I think you should not worry about the application status. For a lot of people the application status didn't change at all even after the decision. The default status is submitted. So I wouldn't worry about that much. However as your status is incomplete, you may contact the adcom once(very politely), just to be sure.

Thanks,
Prodizy

It's still a long way to go before the decision date. Don't lose hope.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I applied round 2, got an interview invite 6 days later, interviewed on the 1/21 and now anxiously waiting for a response. It looks like they have all of my materials, but the waiting is painful. My gut is telling me that now that they released and finished round 1 as of this past Tuesday, we should be getting some decisions within the next 2 weeks.

Anderson is not rolling admissions....you'll find out in March.

Congrats!! Do you mind sharing your work experience?

My work experience is in Aerospace as an engineer. I've had a good amount of leadership experience in my role so that has probably helped my cause.
