..and did you guys know how many admits were given in R1? Just 80 for a class of 360. There are still lots of admits to be given out to fill the class. Stay positive and All the best to all wait listed and submitted applicants. :)

Is that the official number? If yes, that is a very positive sign!

Well, we got this email:

Welcome to our new admits!
This week we finished our first round of admissions for the year, and over 80 additional new students were invited to join the UCLA Anderson family. Get to know each other via the Facebook group for the MBA Class of 2016, and sign up to meet each other in person soon too

My interpretation is 80 students in the 2nd wave of R1 decision. Not sure about the figures for the early admit batch. They cant possibly admit only 80 in R1, but I may be wrong though.

Just 81 offers seem low IMHO!
In a year, doesn't UCLA make >700 offers?

I agree with you. Its just saying during that week of R1 decision, an additional 80 applicants were accepted. So there were probably more acceptance during other weeks of R1.

The 'UCLA Anderson MBA Class of 2016' Facebook page has 140 registered users. I guess that should be the correct number of admitted students till date.

I thought I read here that the Facebook group also had current students and/or Admissions Committee members too?
Or was that some other school's thread?!

I assumed that the number of adcom members and current students would be small.

There's about 40-50 or so current student+adcom members in the group.

Also, it is very unlikely that all the admitted students are in the group!

Is the group for enrolled students or is it open to every admitted student?
In the second case, if we suppose that half of the admitted students joined the group we could argue that they admitted around 200 people so far.

I guess UCLA gets mostly Round 2 applications? Does seem like more would've been accepted, unless they are reducing class size or expecting higher yield. They need to let in around ~1000 people to reach their class size, so I would've expected 300-400 in Round 1.

Hmmm. If I'm not mistaken, each class has only around 360 people. The first and second years combined make around 700+ people. That being said, Round 2 does typically tend to have more applicants for all schools.

Interviewed on campus yesterday. Anderson interviews are very casual and friendly.

Hopefully it went well. I have Marshall next week.
