Just got a thank you note from the person who interviewed me on Super Saturday, I assume that everyone gets these and I shouldn't be reading anything into it.
I too got a card from my interviewer today. I thanked him on LinkedIn. Turns out he had a very very similar situation when he got it and we became good friends in a few hours!
@SOCALMBA2013: Thanks for your kind support. The suspense is killing us Round 2 applicants
@hyperactive010, no problem! Per my discussions with the Ad Com this weekend, R2 and quite possibly R3 decisions will be out earlier than expected. Good luck to you all!

That's good news! I wonder why they will be out earlier than expected. I heard less people applied this year so that might be a reason?
Actually, this was the first year there were more Round 1 applications than the previous year. I just think the Ad Com is being more efficient and doing a better job of meeting the actual candidates through all the events offered on campus. That is just my two cents.

That's kind of what I was thinking when I made that "if I was a betting man" comment a few weeks back. The R2 window from interview to official notification deadline is considerably longer then R1. However, if there were more R1 applicants that were screened in a shorter period of time it seemed logical to imply R2 decisions may come out sooner. Wishful thinking is always a more enjoyable experience IMO.

If it was really true... and the decisions come out early for R2, I'd be highly relieved! My company is facing some financial trouble and I'm officially under furloughs starting Feb (found out on Monday)! But I'm trying to stay alive and look for jobs!!!
I could not interview as i was not well. Does anyone get in without an interview?

From past threads, the admissions office will usually call applicants for a quick interview if they are interested and the applicant couldn't make super staurday.
I only got a thank you card from Anderson last week, didn't get one from my interviewer. Is that a bad sign?

I don't think it matters at all, they send those to everyone who interviews, maybe some are just sent by the staff at the admissions office, I wouldn't read into it at all.
I agree with ipaq and wouldn't read into it. It is a nice/professional gesture overall, but unless they write on the card you are the most amazing MBA candidate ever I wouldn't read into it...and even then...I'd temper my expectations. Good luck!
FYI, I received a thank you letter from my interviewer about 3-4 weeks after receiving my Anderson thank you card. Interviewers are extremely busy so I wouldn't put too much weight on it.
