This looks more like a generic email. They probably have 2 versions - one for the people who interviewed and another one for the rest of the folks.

Was the trend similar in R1 and were there interview invites extended after such an email was sent? ... may be an R1 applicant on this forum can confirm

Weird, cause I have been invited to an interview (not yet done it) and received the same email that another one who has interviwed has....

this is what i got and i am 100% sure its a ding.i am only anxious about duke final decisions next week as that would either mean i go to bschool or i don't . i would pay anything to get a A next to HBS rather than a WL.

no. only at HBS and Fuqua so far and thats all i am expecting . i don't even want to go to stern. so i don't have many options left. its either fuqua or nothing unless the good gods smile at me and admits from HBS decide to go to stanford instead and i get in.

im also with high expectations for Fuqua....crossing fingers here!!

good luck. I jut can't do this whole thing again. it has drained me giving gmats,getting recommendation letters and balancing work which is in excess of 80 hrs a week is not easy. I just want this over with.

Does Yale normally wait until their designated date to call successful candidates? I have an offer at Oxford which expires the morning of April 4th. Has anyone else encountered this and how would you suggest dealing with it?

In round 1, calls did not come until the published decision date. Many people have encountered similar issues in the past. I don't think you can ask for an early decision. Rather, you may need to put the deposit on the first school, and recognize that you may have to forfeit that money if you get accepted to Yale and decide to decline Oxford.

I am in a similar position. I believe Yale SOM would only be coming up with final decisions on April 4th, right? If I haven't been called in for an interview, and if I dun hear till April 1, it's over - right?

P.S. - I have offers from Oxford and ISB Hyderabad.

For me, it is.

Yes, it sounds like everyone will hear about the decision on April 4, whether it's an admit/ding/waitlist! Being realistic, if you haven't been interviewed, it seems your best outcome is to get waitlisted though.

The more I learn about Yale SOM and its students the more I want to end up there! We just have to be patient and wait for the date... Fingers crossed and good luck to you all!!

Yale doesn't reinterview for candidates who interviewed within the last year. They'll consider your previous interview as just one component of your application this year. If you interviewed more than 2 years ago, they may ask you to reinterview.

I'm not sure if I'm just being nitpicky out of being anxious or what but I reviewed my application last night and in the "Quantitative Coursework" section, I forgot to ticked off Engineering/Physical Sciences. (I had taken Astronomy and Physics classes and it's evident in my transcript). Would AdComs look through my transcript and see that I had taken these courses? Or will I be penalized for this error?
