ohh boy ! Now I am feeling the heat. The 2nd wave has already started and I am busy with my f5 button
I was looking at last year's forum and noticed that the first 2 waves has most of the invites for R1 and then it tapers away..so if we don't get it in this week, chances are slim..Thoughts?
If that's the case..then

Not all is lost..as per last year's forum, there would be another wave - end of Nov or 1st week of Dec - where a lot of invites go out..hopefully don't have to wait that long..
Anybody from the IT industry in India got an interview invite?

I am from a product based company, but wait -oh heck -it's still classified as IT if I am from India Still waiting dude..still waiting. I guess ,it'll be a long wait for me. I am just hopping between forums
Got my first invite! It was a straight shooter informing me that I have been invited for interview. No suspense of logging onto the archaic platform most of the B-schools are using! Anyhow, Skype interview scheduled.
Don't know where to start preparing. I will be grateful for advice of the senior members on the forums. Guys, where do we start? When should we stop?

Congrats on the invite. Check out my post on page 9. I wrote a summary of my interview and posted a link where you can find the questions being asked by the interviewers. Good luck.
Just be yourself. The interview for Anderson is not at all a grilling session.
Just had my interview last night via Skype w a 2nd yr. Was very casual and straightforward:
Walk me through your resume. Why MBA? Why Anderson? Tell me about your leadership qualities and your leadership experience. What was the most constructive feedback you received?
The actual interview was about 20 minutes and then she spent about 10 minutes answering my questions about campus life, career services, etc.
I checked with the Adcom regarding Degree certificate. She said that they accept attested photocopy of Degree. It should be attested by Registrar of college.

The link cowabungaman7 has on his post was really helpful for me last year. The interviewer won't grill you, they will just be trying to get to know you better. That being said, it always helps to have a good feel for what's coming. Be yourself and know your story. Really know how to answer, "Why Anderson?" Also, make sure that you can connect the dots between what you have done in the past, what you are doing now, what you want to do in the future, and how Anderson will help you get there. Last piece of advice, prepare good questions, and make sure they are questions that can't be answered by looking at the website. The 2nd-year you will be interviewing with will know a ton about the program and all the things Anderson has to offer.
Anyway, good luck and if you have any other questions, please reach out!
I had my interview yesterday. Very relaxed. Usual questions. Lot of insights on UCLA. Fun experience. Tip for people who are yet to give interview: Just relax, be yourself and make sure your MBA story is genuine and well prepared.
I have a few questions for people who are done with interview, esp from India: 1) Have you sent the official documents already? 2) I saw a post regarding degree certificate can be attested by registrar of college, but my undergrad is BITS (:( It will take ages to organize the document). Did anyone get a waiver to send just a scanned/xerox copy?

I called my university, and there are two options: parchment re-issue and parchment replacement. Parchment re-issue is just a second copy of the degree, no need to report it as lost, and it takes about a week for them to do it. This is a Canadian university, so not sure what it will be like for the rest, but perhaps this gives you a place to start.

FYI for benefit of everyone. I called ad com regarding the degree certificate issue and She said that we can send the original degree certificate with a cover letter providing address for return. They will make sure that the certificate is sent right back after evaluation.
