Just want to give you guys some hope from my application experience:
1. I submitted my application on the R1 deadline day
2. Received an interview invite 2 days later
3. Interviewed 2 weeks later via Skype (didn't send a Thank You letter - but you should, as a courtesy)
4. Didn't get a December admit (was devastated and thought I got dinged)
5. Got admitted 5pm PST in the January notification day via email, along with >75% scholarship
6. Got a personal congratulatory call from Alex Lawrence the next day (I was outside the US)
Good luck guys! Trust me, Anderson is worth the wait!

I read your last year thread - mukakucing, it must be awesome when the anxiety turned to euphoria (esp with that kind of scholarship).
I guess, lot of Indian applicants like me are hoping to get a quick reply to ditch the R2 applications and celebrate the New Year in style. However, after reading last years threads extensively, I doubt Indian applicants will get into early admits. I think due to the sheer number of Indians applying, they wait to evaluate us with the R2 applicants pool. Generally, the early admit batch was US applicants, fin background or applicants from countries like Brazil (smaller applicant pool).
I hope I am wrong though
