Sloan extends invites based on when admissions will be in each region. Anyone know what the regions are and when adcom plans on visiting each?

Did most people submit videos or links to their YouTube channels with their applications? I only recall submitting two essays and putting a few very brief extra notes for the optional essay.

I personally didn't submit any additional essay, only the two mandatory ones.
I did add a LinkedIn link, but no one that I don't know have checked my page out, not even as anonymous.

I still refuse to lose hope even if someone from the middle east was already called for an interview.

I submitted a video but nothing too fancy - a 2-minute personal intro. Still no views on youtube, same with my linkedin profile. I'm based in DC. Maybe they're prioritizing international applicants first for review.

confirms that invites are extended in batches by region. doesnt seem like any US invites have gone out yet.

Just called the admissions office. They said they have just started sending out invites. Some will come out tomorrow, most will come out next week and into the week after.

To be honest, I don't believe any of the two "new guys" that posted today.
There's not a single country in the middle east from which 15 candidates are being called for an interview. (There are a total of 5-6 Israelies max per year and I know some how got admitted in R1 so it just sounds unreliable and I don't think that the rest of the middle east combined has 15 candidates).

And I don't believe there's someone who would actually call the admission office to send such a stupid question. It's risking sounding really dumb, unless he does it anonymously.

In conclusion, there's a little over a week, let's be patient. I don't think that they'll wait until after March 6th, had they known they will not make it to their own deadline, they would have written something in the admission blog. They aren't that cruel...

I agree with you, seems unlikely. Particularly the guy who says he knows 15 invitees in his area. Registered today, wants to stay anonymous, won't even mention where his "area" is... none of that really inspires confidence in his message.

Considering how much snow they received, I wouldn't be surprised if their deadlines slipped. Plus, it's not like they are only giving out invites until March 6th and then you have to wait until April to hear about your ding. If you aren't selected to be interviewed, you will received your final notice with everybody else that wasn't interviewed. If you haven't received a final notice, then they must still be sending out interviews.
