if anybody was wondering... i asked my interviewer if there was any formula for how they assign interviewers to interviewees. he said there was none at all and it was completely random. so don't feel good or bad about whether you got an adcom interviewer or a student/alumni interviewer. they're all the same.

March 15th aka a Sunday?

I just had my interview and I felt it went disastrous but who knows? Here's my experience:

I arrived extremely early to beat traffic to LA. I sat in their admissions office until my interview time. While I was waiting, the lady at the front desk was so sweet and friendly, she essentially kept me company and tried to take my mind of the daunting interview about to take place. I interviewed with the associate director of MBA admissions, which was pretty intimidating since I was expecting a second-year student or alumni. Anyway, here are some of the questions she asked:

1. Why Marshall?
2. Tell me about your current job.
3. Tell me more about your role there, walk me through a typical day, for example, yesterday.
4. What lead you to that job?
5. What skills from your current job do you think you can contribute to your Marshall group?
6. Why did you choose the previous job you had?
7. What are some of your goals after an MBA? What sparked your passion for said goal?
8. How do you think Marshall will help you achieve those goals?
9. What are you most anxious about if you attend Marshall? What are you most excited about?
10. Any questions for me?

The interview seemed to go back to my current position a lot which was a bit strange to me. Did anyone else feel this way about their interview? Also, did anyone else interview with a director or non-student/alumni?

Hope this helps and good luck to everyone with interviews soon! Of course, everyone waiting should keep their chins up as well! It seems decisions are STARTING to go out on March 15th and not BY then. At least that's what the staff told me. Best wishes~

So sounds like admissions decisions are going out starting this Sunday the 15th.

Does anyone know if there is a standard process for how applicants are notified of their decisions? In other words, is a phone call or email expected or does one simply have to check their status on the USC applicant website?

i've only spoken to non-international students and they've all said that there'd be a phone call. if you read through this tread, it also seems like most people got phone calls.

Wow, big congrats!!!

I just logged on to see if there was any status change on my site. Since I haven't even received an interview, I was expecting to see a ding. Nothing changed so far.

Does anykne know when the school will likely send out flat-out rejects? I am thinking I should just pay my deposit at another school and move on with my life.

Can anyone instruct me how to find out the admission decision?

Is it the same website where we filled out our online application form? Mine is still just SUBMITTED. Nothing changes.

I think I found it on the USConnect website?
but mine is like this "One or more of your applications is currently under review, so a decision has not yet been posted. Please check back periodically for an update."

could you let me know how you got to the "USConnect website"?
My application page still says "SUBMITTED" in green just like yours.
I have heard nothing from USC and now beginning to worry whether my application has gone MIA in their files. :-(

I applied through the Consortium, but I haven't received any info regarding login information. When I interviewed on campus, they had to pull my resume from a "separate system," which led me to believe they didn't merge the CGSM applications into the regular application system/portal. So, hopefully we can expect phone calls today or tomorrow!
