I hope you mean 1/16. I submitted my application right before the 1/15 11:59 pm PT deadline which resulted in the date being 1/16 due to the Eastern Time time stamp. Received an interview invite so that means my application was definitely reviewed in this current round.

If you really do have a 1/17 submission date, I'm sorry to say but you're probably out of luck for R2 and into R3. But that would also mean you have plenty of more time to receive an interview invite!

It'd still be nice if they just emailed you back, though. The application process is anxious enough.
