When she addressed us all on-campus when visiting for an interview, she said that interview invites actually declined from last year, although I am not sure if she meant that on a percentage basis (of total applicants vs last year) or total number basis. Total number basis would be great for us that interviewed, but I have a suspicion it just means that a lower percentage of applicants were interviewed, which would mean more than last year.
