Hi everyone,
I took the GMAT and got a low score (540). I am planning to take it again but wanted some advise on when should take it for a second time and the materials I should get (mostly practice tests) to study. I feel like I know the theory but at the time of the test, I don't have the best strategies to save time...also, I really don't have the money to pay 1500+ for a prop course
any advise is helpful!

1. Try eGmat/Magoosh courses. You can get good deal as GmatClub member.
2. GmatClub is also a good place to learn. Gmat is all about timing so you will need to learn the best and shortest way to solve any question. You can find different types of questions and ways to solve a question by different members.
3. You can also check Manhattan's Strategy guides. They are Good.
4. Try Ron's video. They are good, free and full of good tips.
5. Install Ready4Gmat app on your mobile so that you can practice whenever you get some time.
6. Read regularly. Have a fix time.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores when you scored 540?
Goals:
5) When are you planning to retake the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
