It's a good thing if they can increase the female % without decreasing the class quality, otherwise not. Not much point admitting women simply because they're women IMO. If their admit rate reflects their applicant breakdown then not much they can - or indeed should - do about that. It's not really the fault of LBS (or any other school) that more men pursue MBAs than women. Personally I don't really agree with schools being more lenient with female candidates to artificially boost female attendance numbers because, unlike some other minority groups, I don't really consider us significantly "disadvantaged" - we have the same opportunities for our GPA/GMAT etc as the male applicants and given the age of most applicants (mid-late 20s), have not yet experienced much sexism or mommy-tracking at work that would give us a disadvantage in work experience quality. I'm just a little surprised to see a European school have that low a percentage, considering Europe (or at least parts of it) is generally less sexist than the US and is a lot better on things like maternity leave and women here don't take such a bad child-related career hit as they do in the US - and we have kids later, so the older average age of LBS shouldn't be that much of a problem, either. LBS has heavy international attendance so I'm guessing the video part is assessed by London, to iron out variations in regional interviewer quality. People who have already done it aren't supposed to talk about their 2nd question, because they have a limited number of questions. I'm just going to do it at home and hope that neither my dogs or my local mosques go off in the middle of it

That must have been gutting. Did they give you any reason why or any feedback? How long was your interview? I understand they're quite long, over an hour, up to 2hrs I got the email, have an interview invite
