I would stay away from the Economist. Thought I was learning a lot, scoring mid 600's on practice exams. Then I scored a damn 480 on my first GMAT exam. Basically wasted my money and time. I went to Manhattan prep and got a 660 on my next exam. I'm applying to schools now but plan on taking the GMAT one more time in case a higher score can push me over the edge.

I took the simulation test today and found it tough. But a lot of it could be because I ran out of time. Verbal was tougher than Quant. Overall, from what I have heard, it is supposed to be easier than the actual GMAT.

I scored a 470 - Q31, V23. Very poor :( I'd also love some tips on the same and had some specific questions. Have started another thread. Can you also give me some feedback? Thanks!

I took the Economist Prep Course. I found it useful, especially for Quant.

Economist Mock 1: 770
Economist Mock 2: 770

I then appeared for the official mocks.

Official Mock 1: 690

This first official mock was shocking, as I did not do well in Verbal (especially SC).

For SC, I reviewed the OG in detail - line by line.

Official Mock 2: 770

In the real GMAT, I scored a 740 (Q50, V39). I was very poor with my time management. I could have done better.

That said, I am not reappearing. Overall, I would say the Economist GMAT Prep Course is pretty good.

P.S.: My quant was decent even before I started preparing. But I found their tips to be pretty useful. In verbal, Economist's RCs are tougher - crazy tough. SC is just ok (one has to go through OG in detail). CR is also decent.
