Hi grh582,

Thanks for sharing your background and profile - my initial thoughts are below:

Academics: Am not too concerned with your 3.3 GPA since it seems like your freshman year was an anomaly and your grades improved (schools like to see a rising trend in GPA). Additionally, you have a strong GMAT score having done well in both sections of the exam and you also took the initiative to take additional classes. It's up to you as to whether or not you would like to retake the GMAT, but in my view, your time would likely be better served by focusing on your story and applications.

Extracurriculars: Definitely like that you started a non-profit and that you have continued to be engaged in the community through your volunteer endeavors.

Goals: With your goals, it will be very important to "connect the dots" between what you have done in the past and what you would like to do in the future. I actually have a background in finance having worked in both the investment banking and asset management industries (you can read about my background here), and so am extremely well versed with respect to helping candidates translate finance jargon into easy to understand language as they relay their prior accomplishments and future goals.

I do think you have correctly categorized the schools that you have listed. If it would be helpful to chat, feel free to sign-up for a free consultation here: https://www.ivygroupe.com/contact.

Best,
Shaifali
