Hi All,

I recently went to the NUS admission portal and found that the status had changed to 'Offer Made'. However, I have not received any email and the 'Admission reply, Declaration and Photo Upload' field does not have any link for me to use.
Please advise if this was seen by admitted students. If so, what would you suggest I should do next?

Thanks in advance.

I just got confirmation from NUS Admission team that if the status had changed to 'offer made', then I have been accepted into the program and they are working on sending the acceptance letter within the week.

I would suggest anyone on Waitlisted status to check on the admissions portal as there may be similar delay in email intimation.

Also, if there is an admitted students group/chat, please add me to it or point me to its link.

Can you give us a brief about how you handled the waitlist situation? What kind of updates did you send to NUS while you were on the waitlist? Thanks :)

If the status shows Application Processing on the portal what does that mean?
For waitlisted candidates do they send any update or notification? And is there any waitlist number which might give an idea about whether there is a scope of acceptance or not..

Thanks in advance :)

Application Processing means that they have not yet taken a decision regarding your application.
If you are waitlisted, they inform you of the status change via email and your status changes to 'Waitlisted'. If you are moved out of waitlisted status, they will send an email, but in my case, they changed the status to 'Offer Made' on Saturday and sent the email on Monday. They do not have any Waitlist number as such. In my mind a waitlisted candidate meets their basic admission criteria, but they want to review all similar profiles before they make their decision.

Hi Nikhil

Thanks so much for your previous help and replies on the forum.

Honestly, the waitlist situation was a rather deflating experience. The key aspect, I think, is not to let it bog you down and to follow up with NUS about any update once the deadline they have given is past. I would also suggest joining their A2A sessions if you have questions and ask them there. It shows intent and I think they also try to give you a good idea of the process being followed.

Other than that, its just a matter of being patient and continuing to work on your other applications in the meantime.

Sounds good udewan I think persistently showing interest in the school by attending the information sessions etc works and at the same time, you don't want to be sending too many emails asking for updates. Thanks for the advice :)

Thanks a lot for the clarification and kind explanation.
Also do they update with Reject status if the application is no more under consideration. (in case you have heard this or know anyone who might know)

From the decision tracker, I see all of the rejects were first communicated through an email. I think they will update the application portal too but email maybe the first communication.

Was the first one in Feb a preliminary interview? Because in those cases the actual one is held separately.
What do the titles of two invites say?

What do the titles of two invites say?

First one was titled: The NUS MBA Admission Selection Interview (via Zoom) - Duration was 30mins+
Second one was titled: 2nd Interview for Candidate Name - Expected Duration was 30mins+

I am curious as to how many rounds of interview was supposed to be held?

Now i am starting to doubt if i actually "Failed" my first interview but they will like to give me an additional chance by conducting a 2nd interview?

I tried calling their hotline but apparently it seems "call rejected" every time.

Also, can you tell us about the interviewers? One with a student and one with an adcom something like that?

I agree. Actually my admit decision after the waitlist came in very quickly (in the 3rd week or so). I was going to write about the promotion that I got at work after I had applied. But got an admit before I wrote anything to them!. Bdw Nikhil is there a group for admitted students?
