Are the invites rolled out in order of the strength of the candidature?
Like better candidates getting invites first.

There is no such correlation, and for your sanity, you should not worry about any of such probabilities either. Just focus on preparing for your interview, as you won’t get much time after the invite is rolled out.

I had applied for ISB round 2 PGP.
1. Any update/idea on when will the interview invites roll out?
2. Will only selected candidates receive mail?

The invites have started rolling and the interviews will be conducted on weekends. You will receive the invite 5-7 days in advance. You will receive mail only if you are shortlisted for interview, else you will receive the rejection mail at the end of the Round.

The invites have started to be rolled out. All of them don’t come in at the same time. So expect more to be rolled out this month. Email only go out to selected candidates and all remaining receive a rejection at the end of the round.

Ideally they should end by 30th, but it could go on in Feb as well. More probable because R2 is running a bit behind because of the winter break.

That's what. A duration of 3 weeks seems to be v less to wrap up all interviews. R1 went on for 6 weeks I suppose.

They will try to expedite the process because they know other schools will roll out offers in the first half of this month and if they don’t start rolling out decisions quickly they will loose on some good applicants.

Guys, a quick question. I was going through some blogs and I understand that in the interview the panelist could ask some questions such as - the career goals or why MBA or why ISB ? So do I have to repeat what is written in application or add some more genuine flavour to it ?

It has to resonate with your essays but they will drill into more specifics that your might not have addressed in the essays. So prepare 2 to 3 level deep into these topics. If you have mentioned a career goal, then they can ask what does the role involve or why the role etc.

Check out the interview debriefs for the kind of questioning: isb-204/interview_debrief.html

Interview tips- behavioural questions usual-1)tmat led project, difficult situation, conflict handling etc, and u can always see the debrief section for more clarity...my personal suggestion is to prepare well on your work so far, back ur ans as per ur own exp , cv related questions are very common (in my case it was all related to cv- no other questions were asked), be calm and composed, if feel nervous take your time ask for brief moment and recoup...all the best

Application and all the stuff that u have mentioned in your form...make sure to prep well on why and how you accomplished what you mentioned, what were the steps u took, what was the result and were u satisfied.. if something doesn’t add up they will know...so prep well on your career goals , cv related questions, ask questions in the end if they allow u to.... Make sure give reasons and back up ur ans.... It may very well happen that the interviewer may have a similar background or comes from your side of profile....hope this helps...all the best

9th Jan (coming Sunday). This will be the pattern for the next few weeks, interviews are conducted during weekends with 4-6 days advance notice. Keep preparing and taking mocks in the interim! And more importantly, don’t loose hope if you haven’t received an invite yet, R2 has just begun :)
