My interview lasted for relatively small time. 20-25 minutes approx. I know this isn’t a metric but has anyone else had a short interview like mine?

I do not think there is any relation between length of the interview and chance of admission. A short interview may be that panel was impressed pretty quick. A long interview may be that panel was trying to give you multiple chances, still you were unable to convince them. Or it can be the other way around too. Relax and best wishes!

My topic was something like " In this era of globalization, do restrictions like data not crossing physical boundaries of country make sense? Rather it seems myopic." Was a short grilling 25-30 Min interview. initial 5-7 minutes on extempore. Maintained that it all depends on type of data crossing the physical boundary, backed it up with examples. Then next 20 minutes why MBA now ..and what difference PGPX is going to make in my career. P.S. - We all have done our level best. Best of luck to all for results.

Interview went very grilling. Extempore topic --> "Are organ donor family should be compensated or not". After, that questions from my current job role and why PGPX. Interview was around 30mins.

Interview was tough. Experience was good. But I think in extempore topic. Hmmmm.......really tricky....no straightforward answers. I was trying to convince the that yes whole family should be compensated. But, they were cross questioning many question on that....so don't know what will happen.... Any Indian, who are working outside of India got admit in IIMA PGPX program in round1 or round2. Just wanted to analysis what are my chances.... I know it is really prestigious and very competitive program...But, still wanted to know..... If you ask me...I think it is 50/50 chances.....But, still wanted to know anybody...got it... who are working outside of India.

I wouldn’t worry too much. The interviewers are exceptional at keeping a "pokerface". I’ve read of interviews where literal arguments ensued and the candidates still got selected. I think keeping a sound line of reasoning in your extempore while being able to concede to better arguments is more important than just sticking to your guns no matter what. Remember, if you’ve been shortlisted for PI that means the admissions team is already impressed by your credentials. Now they just wanna know if you have the attitude for learning and can contribute in a meaningful way to the cohort. So long as you disagreed respectfully and were all smiles about it, i think you should be safe.
