Anyone have tips on how to stop ruminating on my TBD performance?! It was over a week ago and I keep thinking about all of the potentially “bad” things I did, instead of the good. Also — on the individual interviews, was not asked “how the TBD went.” Just “Why Wharton & why MBA?” Is this normal?

curious because I only had why wharton & why mba

Almost all of the interview debriefs posted between here and ClearAdmit only show the "Why MBA and Why Wharton" questions. It was the same that I got, that everyone in my TBD group was asked, and what someone else I spoke to was asked after this cycle’s TBD. All the interviewers may have been told strictly to standardize the questions asked. I wouldn’t worry that you weren’t asked to reflect on the TBD.

I was in the same boat, I thought I made a big mistake speaking over someone right at the end when we were assigning speaking roles and I was stuck thinking about that for a long time after. Turns out that didn't matter as I'm heading there later this year. The advice I can give you is that Wharton adcom use the interview performance as another data point in your application, and NOT a filter.

I listened to a podcast with Blair Mannix, and she mentioned that the adcom do multiple app reviews, 2 reviews upon submission to determine your interview status, 1 review during the interview by your interviewers, and most importantly one more review of your full app with your interview performance included as an additional data point. So a few small mistakes won't really take away from a solid overall application.

Thanks! Super helpful. Congrats on your admission!

Hi all, anybody know if the decisions from Wharton and the Lauder Institute are going to come in simultaneously?

I applied in round 1 and got admitted to Lauder. Your admission letter will tell you if you got into one or both at the same time. Followed shortly after (~30 mins) with an email welcoming you to Lauder and telling you how much your Lauder fellowship is (everyone gets at least 10k)

It feels like waiting for the decision is so much more difficult than the application process itself 🙄
