They are sending out conflicting messaging about the late score. The official answer is they no longer accept late score, but in one of their recent info sessions, one adcom mentioned they will do their best to consider it but can’t guarantee. I say you still submit the late better score it’s not gonna hurt

Adcom only accepts one recommender. From the application requirements page on CBS site: "First-time applicants require one recommendation. Reapplicants are required to submit one new recommendation. If you have been working full-time for at least six months, your recommendation should ideally be from your current supervisor. If you are unable to secure a recommendation from your direct supervisor, please submit a statement of explanation in the Employment section of your application. Beyond your direct supervisor, other recommender options include: a former direct supervisor or another professional associate, senior to you, who can share their insights on your candidacy."

I frequently see that the R 2 deadline is listed as 1/5/2022, but on their website it just lists that date as the merit fellowship deadline and Columbia has rolling admissions. I’m worried because I submitted my app on 1/6. Will that be a problem ?

5Jan was the deadline to be considered for scholarship. Since you submitted on 6Jan, you won’t be considered for scholarship but you will be considered for admission (without scholarship)

I applied by January 5th deadline with my current GMAT (low) hoping to take the EA and send it right away. I contacted CBS when I saw the messages here, about them not accepting the score. They replied that they weren't going to accept updated scores. I had to withdraw my application (I was really counting on the EA) to be able to apply for J-term. So no they don't accept updated scores!
