I applied on 1/1 and there is no update either. I saw several rejections on clear admit for those who applied before 12/31 so I was guessing Columbia sends out rejection notice in batches and mine would probably come this Friday.

Why are you sure that you will get a rejection?

Because applications are reviewed in the order of when they are submitted. Several people got interview invite and they all submitted later than I did.

They must’ve seen a deluge of applications on 5th Jan because it was the last date to be considered for a scholarship. It might take them slightly longer to go through that pile of applications
