In other group (clearadmit), I read that it’s probably that international students admitted last year had deferred so this year would be more competitive. It’s an interest possibility

They already have a bulk of deffered enrollments due to covid
Deferred enrolments should only be an issue for the class of 2023. The class of 2022 was due to start in late 2020 when Covid hit - they were granted larger than usual deferrals into the next class, that being 2023. As far as I know, those accepted into class of 2023 were not granted deferrals with the same ease as the previous class so the deferral situation should normalize now for us.
