I gave my online GMAT attempt on 5 Dec'21 and today got an email from GMAC about the administrative review. From my perspective things didn't went as expected since the test started. At start, faced issues with my laptop(office). It seems GMAC list to prohibited SW in not intensive and I ended up blocked due to Zscaler SW installed on my PC. Since it was my office PC I was not able to disable it. As I gave my previous attempt on same PC, I was confident that it will work this time as well but seems like GMAC list of SW is evolving now. I felt stupid and wished that I could had used my personal PC instead. So at end moment, I had to switch to my old personal laptop which I seldom use now and is slow. This whole think took me arnd 1 additional hour. Thanks to the proctor for keeping the patience.
Then came a warning!
After attempting quant I took a 5 min break. During this break my wife unknowing of the rule, went to the same room to pick up something
.. when I went back to the laptop the proctor warned me that any other person is not allowed to enter the room when the exam I going one. I apologized and told him that I have already informed her and she was not aware of it. After the warning, the proctor again took a 360 view of my room and I continued with the test.
After finishing the test, the exam status was still showing the status as "start exam" if I remember correctly. I chatted with Examity customer care and they told me not to worry about it and the status will change in sometime.
Any ways I have to give my test again in 1-2 mnth time as verbal score in interim score was very low(Q47 V16) as per my expectation and mock results(was getting 30+ consistently in mocks). Any recommendation on how to improve on verbal section? I need some tailored guidance in verbal. Please advise.

Hi Veeryo,
I'm sorry to hear about the technical issues that you faced on Test Day - that must have been really frustrating (and could certainly have impacted your performance). Based on the delay you described and the fact that you had to switch computers (AND your wife's surprise appearance), it's not surprising that your Exam would be receiving further review. There were simply too many abnormalities - and while I do not think that you purposely did anything wrong or were trying to cheat, the Exam Administrators do not know that for sure YET.
The broader issues are about why you may have scored lower on your Official GMAT. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. Before we discuss any of those potential issues though, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
I am a working professional and have been preparing from last 7-8 mnths with approx 2 hrs every day. But frankly speaking spent more time on Quant.
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
For Verbal,
SC - Aristotle / Crack Verbal videos classes / OG/ Random material available online.
CR - Power Score/ Crack Verbal videos classes
RC - OG/ GMAT forum
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Gave Manhattan's 6 Mocks in last 1.5 months and 1 GMAC official.
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
I am targeting 720+
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
I am planning in 2022. First trying to get over GMAT.
