When you are looking to take subscription. Plan your time as well. Test prep companies courses differ based on the time commitment you have. I took the magoosh one and from that experience I would say that the Quant is really really good, but the verbal wouldnt be good enough for everyone. As they explain verbal topics with jargon . So for verbal topics I saw GMATninja videos.

Would recommend giving it after familiarising yourself with the test format, topics and a few basics. You’ll know where you stand better as opposed to going into it completely blind and letting anxiety get the better of you. Especially if it’s been a while since you were a student

I’d like to give the exam sometime in December, so I’d miss their round 2 deadline. Going to try my luck abroad for R2 and apply to ISB’s R3.

The Focus Edition eliminates Geometry from Quant, SC from Verbal and moves Data Sufficiency(DS) from Quant to Data Insights, which is a new section, consisting of DS and the old IR. They’ve also removed the AWA/essay section. The test is almost an hour shorter now, with each section being 45 minutes long and contributing to a maximum score of 805 (increments of 10) equally.

I have been preparing for the GMAT since couple of months, had little inconsistency in between but have more or less made up for the lost time.
My GMAT scores have inconsistent for the first 3 official mocks-

1. 650 V35 Q44
2. 660 V34 Q47
3. 620 V31 Q44

Honestly the third one was a big blow as I was expecting a score increase, interestingly my number of questions wrong in test 3 was 2 less than test 1, but the scaled scores are the same. I am guessing I got more easier questions wrong in test 3.

I am really lost when it comes to Verbal, as I have completed OG, and practiced so many questions from GMATClub, but seems like I am not improving.
There are too many materials on how to improve and I am unable to strategize properly.

Has anyone gone through this particular situation? I would be really grateful for some tips or strategies that could help me.

PS- I have scheduled the test for November 24th so do not have too much time as well.

Hello ^^

GMATNinja helped me go from a V35 to V40 with a month of passively watching their YouTube content. Their channel covers a lot, from Verbal/Quant topics to general GMAT strategy, to tips and common mistakes as well. I fully endorse them to anyone struggling with Verbal especially, but also to improve on Quant!
