Got waitlisted. Realistic to get off the waitlist? Any advice on next steps?

athreya1205 ! I hope you are doing well. We understand that being waitlisted can be tough, but it’s also a sign that you’re still in the running for your dream program! Stay positive and proactive, many candidates who stay engaged and continue to show their commitment ultimately succeed. Keep pushing forward, and remember, the journey isn’t over yet! You've got this!
We've created a special blog for the "Waitlisted Strategies: How to Navigate the Process". It will help you with the necessary tips and insights to increase your chances of success!Here are some suggested steps to do, post a waitlist:
1. Find the officer in-charge of the WL and connect with them. Email the adcom to check for more details.
2. Write a supporting email to the WL officer in-charge. Including these points:
- How and why you were not able to present your 100% during the application
- Express that you are still very interested in the program, and how it will be a perfect platform to help you achieve your ST and LT Goals
- Mention how you have improved over the period, add few work promotions or new awards or achievements
- Connect with any current students (or alumni) of the program, mention their names and the best things they said about the program
3. Try to be in touch with the B-school in all possible ways (LinkedIn, email, online events)
