The earliest available waitlist appointment is January 2nd. Should I wait till I speak with Adcom before I provide any profile/test score updates?

Accepted with scholarship!!! What’s the scholarship range like? I’m not sure if I got 25% or 50%
Nevertheless, I’m ecstatic! Finally, some positive news!!
Congratulations

Got waitlisted. Realistic to get off the waitlist? Any advice on next steps?
Hey athreya1205 ! I hope you are doing well. We understand that being waitlisted can be tough, but it’s also a sign that you’re still in the running for your dream program! Stay positive and proactive, many candidates who stay engaged and continue to show their commitment ultimately succeed. Keep pushing forward, and remember, the journey isn’t over yet! You've got this!

We've created a special blog for the "Waitlisted Strategies: How to Navigate the Process". It will help you with the necessary tips and insights to increase your chances of success!

Here are some suggested steps to do, post a waitlist:
1. Find the officer in-charge of the WL and connect with them. Email the adcom to check for more details.
2. Write a supporting email to the WL officer in-charge. Including these points:
- How and why you were not able to present your 100% during the application
- Express that you are still very interested in the program, and how it will be a perfect platform to help you achieve your ST and LT Goals
- Mention how you have improved over the period, add few work promotions or new awards or achievements
- Connect with any current students (or alumni) of the program, mention their names and the best things they said about the program
3. Try to be in touch with the B-school in all possible ways (LinkedIn, email, online events)

Hello athreya1205,

If possible, please keep engaging with the Ad Com while providing them updates on what you are doing to improve your candidature; that is, practically, the best one can do to convert the waitlist.

Good luck!

Hi All, I'm planning to apply to Darden's Round 2 of admissions. I have a GRE 326 (Q167, V159) and 3 yrs of work experience in a fortune 500 company. Can someone please evaluate my chances. Is it realistic for me to apply here?

Ps- I'm an Indian engineering female (overly represented background)

Hi @Blair15 ! Your GRE score of 326 is decent, and 3 years of experience in a Fortune 500 company adds credibility. However, as an Indian engineering female, you’re in an overrepresented pool, making differentiation crucial. If you can increase your GRE by 10 points it would be helpful. Do you have any leadership experience, promotions in your organization? We would like to know more about your profile, as the information you shared is brief, and getting to know more details, will help us identify if you can pull out good stories from your experience. Applying to Round 2 is realistic, but also consider adding schools with slightly higher acceptance rates to balance your strategy. Good luck!

If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a 1:1 call with you to discuss your profile in detail and shortlist schools for you. Feel free to schedule a profile evaluation call according to your convenience.

Hi,
Thank you for the advice. I've had career progression and although not been in an official leadership position, I am leading the team in my current project. I've scheduled a call for profile evaluation for tomorrow. Hoping to speak with you soon!

Thanks!

Good to hear that you’re leading a team currently! All the very best for the future opportunities. Also, just a minor change in the above evaluation - 326 is good score, not mandatory to retake the test. Thanks!

Hi folks, I’m wondering if it is acceptable for international applicant (no PR) to explicitly mention U.S. as target short-term career geography in the essay? thanks!
