Alums did get mails (not a mass mailer though). So process is expected to be a mixed one. The template might change a bit. Professors have taken interviews in the past and the focus was around the application only and a few behavioral questions. Hence, your prep startegy shouldn’t change for now..

If you’ve not got your essays written / majorly written by someone else, then you all should be ready enough to tackle whatever changes that might come. Either in the interview format or any additional component that might come up :)

Did the alums also get the details about the interview location for 19th?

While a lot of you are eagerly waiting for the interview invites to start rolling in, sharing a candid conversation we had with one of our mentees last year. Hope it helps some of you build a better understanding of what to expect from the ISB interview. You can watch the conversation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJmEp4_V_rc&t=901s

Hi,I wrote 72 percentile instead of 73 percentile in quantitative for GMAT and kind of freaking out. They said it doesn't matter and it won't be changed now, but it's not a big deal right?

Hi All,

I am a graduate from VIT Vellore with 9.01 GPA CSE.

I have a 97.4% in my 10th
87.23% in my 12th Maharashtra HSC

I am currently working in an IB firm in a tech role with 3.5 years of work experience.

I have a GMAT FE of 645, purely due to a sub optimal verbal(77)

I am interested to get into Product Management and I heard ISB is good.

In terms of extra curriculars, I have 3 publications across IEEE/Springer. I also have poetry publications. I also have a blackbelt in karate and I have quiz/debate victories during my school time.

Besides this I pioneered a chapter in my college besides being a part of numerous other clubs and chapters.

I have internship experience at a consulting company too. I also have won in synthesizer and singing competitions.

Besides this through my organisation I have spent significant time in Volunteer activities too.

I know my GMAT is probably on the lower side, but do you think the rest of the application might balance it out?

Will definitely be a good idea to re-attempt GMAT to aim at 665+, especially since there are still approximately two months for the R2 deadline anonymousWarlord.

Academics and work profile are good. IB role is considered valuable but just be careful to link your experience logically with your PM aspirations. Extracurriculars can be stitched together into a strong aspect of your profile. If possible, re-take the GMAT as any improvement in score beyond 645 will give a substantial boost to your overall application.
