If you ask a school that lists the EA as an option for applying (along with the GMAT and GRE), they’ll tell you they have no preference for any one test. But keep in mind that has no context to your application and what you need to create a complete picture of readiness for an intense program and commitment to achievement.

I’m not sure if this is too late, but just in case you still have time to prep, here are a few suggestions from my own experience (of course, take it with a grain of salt!):

- If you find it hard to maintain focus over long periods (as required by the GMAT), the EA can be a great alternative.
- GMAT Focus and EA likely share the same question pool, with EA more toward ~80% medium and easy-level questions. The main difference is EA still includes Sentence Correction
- For SC fundamentals, TTP is a great source – super well-structured, comprehensive, and easy to digest, though a bit time-consuming.
- You should consider buying the Official EA Practice Tests 1 & 2 – they’re the best predictors of actual score
- While GMAT official practice tests may share same question types & contents, the test energy and timing strategy feels different

Here’s what my actual experience looked like:
- Spent 1 week focusing on Sentence Correction (it makes up 6 out of 14 Verbal questions on the EA).
- April 5: Practice Test 1 – 161
- April 9: Practice Test 2 – 160
- April 14 (Test Day): Scored 168

Hope this helps and best of luck with your prep! If you have got good foundation by your prep with GMAT, I think you will do just fine!
hi! did you use any course or materials to practice for sentence correction?
