I’m assuming this is for executive programs.

I would say preparation depends on how far away you are from your target score. If you need substantial improvement, I would say it would take you three months of fairly intensive prep just like GMAT maybe 4 months.

In terms of the scores, you can see some of them in decision tracker for the executive programs but my understanding is that anything over 155 is a really strong score.

You can seen a more of discussion here: executive-assessment-ea-percentiles-322683.html

I have just started preparation and haven’t really evaluated on where I stand as I am out of touch with Quant and VR for a while now... I have purchased the targettestprep subscription and have been preparing for 2 weeks now .

Plan to write the EA in Jan ( 1st week ) before the second round deadline closes

how are others preparing for EA ?

Historically, and even today as there is such a strong overlap between GMAT and executive assessment, most just use GMAT materials. The only difference today being the sentence correction section which I suspect at some point will be yanked out.

I think the most annoying part of the executive assessment is that there are no free official tests. 😭

But otherwise, the material that is used for the GMAT is the same and the questions are the same.

I had started preparing for EA early August and had read up a fair bit about it!

Re scores, yes anything 150 above is a good score.
Wharton expects a 155-160 but 155 is also really good!

I had to stop prep and fly back to india as I had a personal loss in the family. Timeliness to prepare are completely shifted now but I am hoping once I am back , I will start again.. and plan to give the exam in early Jan too!

I used the TTP material too, even though exhaustive, I found it to be pretty helpful.

Let’s keep this chat active so we can discuss, share exam prep ideas and any other relevant information too!

Thanks Priyanka. Lost my dad and it’s been extremely painful. Tbh can’t think of studying but once the dust has settled, I realise he would have wanted me to go ahead and give the exam! So yeah, all the best to me!
And to you too!

I am so so sorry about your loss. We are so used to depending on our parents as a support in our life and it’s very hard when the rules change and it’s even harder when we lose them. Leaves a big hole. I am sorry 😢

I hope you can find the motivation to restart your process.

Thanks Bb! You said. Losing a parent is the biggest heartbreak of all. Nobody prepares you for it! I am still struggling but I have to get back up and do this!

Thanks guys! Appreciate your messages!! Albeit a small group, but let’s keep interacting so we can be of support to one another.. with prep related things!

Does any one have a idea of how many sentence correction questions are asked in the EA ?

Also does anyone have the procedure, sections, timing for the EA ?

About the EA exam
The EA exam is a 90 minute test in 3 sections that you can take online or in-person at a testing center. It’s essentially a shorter version of the GMAT without geometry or an essay. It costs $350, your score’s valid for 5 years, and you can only take it 2 times. There are 3 sections:

Integrated Reasoning (12 problems, 30 min = 1.5min/Q)
Tests quant and verbal skills together
4 problem types: Tables, Graphs, Multi-Source Reasoning, Two-Parts

Verbal (14 problems, 30 min = 2 min/Q)
Tests grammar and meaning as well as logical reasoning and comprehension
3 problem types: Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension

Quant (14 problems, 30 min = 2 min/Q)
Tests math as well as your ability to reason about quant topics
2 problem types: Problem Solving, Data Sufficiency
No geometry, but does include coordinate plane

SC used to be the most tested type of questions on the GM and similarly sentence correction also has the most prevalent question type on the executive assessment. I think the test will have about 5-7 sentence corrections out of 14 total questions

Hello All, while I am preparing using targettestprep for EA, I noticed comments on how some have prepared using only the GMAC questionnaire and test bank and call out that prep for 3-4 months is overkill. I work full time and hence want to prep using a smart strategy. Any guidance will help ..

Hey Priyanka, what did you end up using ? Did you proceed with TTP or have you shifted over to just using the GMAC material or is it a combination of both ?

Thanks.

Combination of both...TTP is extensive .. I have started my practice with few chapters in TTP and trying a few questions in the prep material everyday..
