I did not quite understand the solution. In statement 3, what is the meaning of valid distribution
A valid distribution is a set of five ratings that meets all given conditions: sum = 16, median = 2, mode = 2, and a feasible range. It ensures that the ratings are possible within the problem's constraints.

I did not quite understand the solution. hello

what about the ratings being 2,2,2,4,6
mean = 16/5

giving a range of 4, and mode of 2, and median of 2

The value of x
x
, representing the range of ratings Don Pizza received, was 4.

thank you

Check the highlighted part:
In today's digital food market, a simple 5-point rating system carries significant weight.

{2, 2, 3, 5, 5} has modes 2 and 5, not 3. So it doesn't match the mode given in the question.

Is this analysis correct for the 2nd statement:
If you try to have two 5 star ratings, the only way to keep the mode as 3, is by making all other 3 ratings equal to 3 stars. The ratings would be: 3,3,3,5,5. This all add up to 19, which violates the sum/average constraint ( avg=3.4 , sum = 17).

I say this because in the examples in of explanation, when trying to have two 5 star rating, the mode constraint is violated.

The set {2, 3, 3, 5, 5} is bimodal, it has two modes 3 and 5.

The range of {3, 3, 3, 5, 5} is 2, not 3.
