The virtual meetup yesterday has more than 30 interviewees and 2 current students. So the number is adding up to >50 invitees for R1.
Hi everyone, today were 30 to 35 interviewees... so thats a total of 80/85 more or less

Finally have time to pay it forward. Interviewed on 11/13.

My prep was based on scouring past debriefs on gmatclub and web search.

After receiving my interview invite, I reached out to an alumnus (class of 2025) from my hometown and had a good coffee chat about the program and life post-graduation.

Like any other interviews, prepare a strong 3 Whys (Why MBA, Why School X, Why Now).

First 5-10 minutes are questions on data visualization. Current student on virtual meetup mentioned it was 20 minutes. Mine was a work example and pretty clear cut, maybe that's why it's much shorter.

The rest are typical behavioral questions, I grouped my stories into themes so to not repeat examples, also not having to remember all different types of prompts. Think strength/weakness/TMAT when... type of questions. Sloan Fellow candidates should have many years of experience, so don't be afraid to go back to your first and second job (I did use a story from 10 years ago).

Last but not least, the current student mentioned you're basically 80% there once you got the interview invite. My insight from alumnus is similar, the interview is to corroborate the person to the application, and to ensure you're a good classmate to the cohort.

Good luck everyone!

Had my interview today on similar lines as Alex.
We jumped directly to data visualisation and spent 5-10 minutes on it.
Rest were all behavioural questions and finished with 2-3 minutes to spare and I was given time to ask a couple of questions. We wrapped up in about 35 minutes.
Jumping straight to behavioural questions and their flow seemed like the interviewer wanted to verify exact qualities they were looking for and it seemed my interviewer was well versed with my application, essays and the submitted videos.
Now the long wait till 12 Dec. 🤞🏻

With decision coming out in couple days, does MIT call accepted candidates like other school does? Or is it just portal updates?

Hi everyone, I received my acceptance call about an hour ago. They told me that the official confirmation will arrive by email after 3:00 pm EST, so don’t panic, calls are still coming in! (10 years of work experience, EA 158, corporate finance, energy sector)
