Conclusion - Heavy screens use contributes to vision impairemement because - heavy screen use is linked to a faster increase in Intraocular Pressure (IOP). Higher IOP is linked to vision impaorement.

The main issue is whether screen time is actually causing the increase in IOP or there is some other reason.

Looking at options, I think Option C is correct because it states that another habit common among heavy screen users could be causing higher IOP, which weakens the argument.

My Answer is C.
Research timeline is 4 years. Teenagers using screens more than 6 hours per day had "more quickly" increase in inoculate pressure. Elevated IP leads to vision impairment.
Gap: Is it only screen use? or could it be other habits? May be those who use screens stay up late or donot eat/ hydrate well?

For option C.
If Yes, the evidence for result becomes weaker.
If No, the evidence strengthened.

Option A, they are talking about increase so elevated IP makes no difference.
Option B, IP need not to be the best indicator but it an indicator.
Option D, It may increase for all screen users but "more quickly" for those more than 6 hours.
Option E, It may but Ip is not ruled out.

The arguments logic is that with heavy screen use, intraocular pressure increase faster and since elevated intraocular pressure is associated with vision impairment, heavy screen use must contribute to vision impairment.

The researches turned a correlation (heavy screen use tracks with a faster rise in intraocular pressure) into a causal claim, so the thing to test is a confound. We need a question that strengthen or weakens this link.

A) passage is not talking about the final intraocular pressure but the increase of it. So this doesn't strengthen or weaken.
B) Correct : this seems to show some effect on the second link which is between intraocular pressure and vision impairment.

In a study, researchers repeatedly measured the intraocular pressure of thousands of teenage volunteers over four years. The researchers found that intraocular pressure increased more quickly in teenagers who used screens for more than six hours per day. Since elevated intraocular pressure is associated with vision impairment, the researchers concluded that heavy daily screen use contributes to vision impairment.

In order to assess the force of the researchers' evidence for their conclusion, it would be most helpful to know whether
