Ok some more stats....From around the same time last year, there were about 4 invites out of 20 applicants. 20% Right now we have 8 invites out of 40 ~ 20%

Last year, total R1 was 10 invites out of 20 apps 50% rate

Most of these came within 2 or 3 days of end of period.

So based on these numbers, we can expect about 12 more interviews to go out for gmatclub to hit that 50% mark.

It seems there should be some adjustment factor for the fact that new users seem to come out of the woodwork and report only positive news. If we could extricate that group from last year's results it might give a more true approximation of what gmatclubbers could expect. This is probably more work than it's worth, especially as the approximation probably won't be too far off from the global reported statistics, but it's better than refreshing email and logging into application accounts endlessly.

I was just at the accepted.com chat...

came in late, and asked whether the bulk of invites had been sent out. Apparently the question was asked already, but the moderator told me that the rep had answered"Yes" to this question...

Talk about a knife to the chest...

Someone on BW who attended the entire chat denied the moderators comment. Apparently to the question Wharton " did *not* reply in the affirmative. The reponse was that "a good number" of invites are still left to go out."

I have a bad feeling that as Wharton goes so go the rest of my apps. I really thought I stood a strong shot at Wharton but I'll just have to wait around for one of those magic last interview invites to come my way.

Was at the whole chat myself, I second that there was no affirmative response. It's amazing how many of these chats are filled with questions like

'What percentage of people are you going to accept?'
'Is my GMAT score high enough?'
'Can I find out if I'm accepted/denied early?'

but I also saw some interesting questions. Worth a look at the transcript when it comes out, imho.

Should I view the fact that Wharton just sent me an invitation to consider their executive MBA program (looks amazing by the way) as a bad sign?

I am guessing this is just a coincidence and not any sign about my current application... but who knows.

Man. I am really getting scared! I hope gmail doesnt filter out my invite and i go clear my spam,etc. All these weird ideas keep propping up in my head!

You can log into ApplyNow to be absolutely sure. If you've received an invite, it would reflect that on there.
