I've been getting a ton of recruiting emails from schools lately, so when I saw the Fuqua talk email, I just glanced at it and moved on. But it just occurred to me that this is the first piece of email I've received from them in 3 weeks. That being said, it probably doesn't mean much.

That's funny, this is the 1st email I received from Fuqua ever; well besides the interview invite

Did you guys click on the link? I'm pretty sure that email means absolutely nothing. I know R1 applicants are on pins and needles, myself included, but it may be time for some of us to take a deep breath and back away from our keyboards.

I agree with you. This week has been unproductive and never wrecking so far. As for now, not getting this email definitly not helping my sanity.

The email just has some links back to the Fuqua website. It really is nothing.

FWIW, the email contains a link to a schedule of future online Fuqua chats (FuquaTalk), including chats on their MMS program and open chats with the admissions office in early February. At least a third of the chats appear to be geared towards applicants in future rounds. If you didn't receive this email, I would assume it's because they (a) don't have a correct email address for you; (b) you inadvertently got left off their distribution list; or (c) you're not checking the right email account or this message landed in your spam folder.

I suspect the AdCom is probably meeting in committee to discuss the last of the R1 applicants this week and that we won't learn anything until Monday, but admissions is just one giant black box, so who knows what's happening.

Hopefully you all work somewhere where you aren't expected to bill your time to clients or projects in six minute intervals. Yesterday I was extremely productive. Today, my productivity cratered.

Thanks for the pep talk, I really need it. I hope we all hear back from Fuqua really soon! Good luck to everyone!

An email from duke for fuqua talk :) Yep, it was more than sufficient to ignite the waiting game spark ;)

Well, One question to all R1/EA applicants ... Did you get reply of your "post interview thank you email" from your interviewer ?

I did, but I have interviewed elsewhere that I didn't get a reply.

I'm R2 and I got that e-mail. A reply to the interview thank you e-mail also means nothing. Some people are uptight and won't reply even if they thought you did well. Some people will just reply to everyone.

When prospectives e-mail me and say thank you, I always e-mail them back, just because I know how crazy it drives people in the application process not to get a response. I always did the same when I conducted interviews at work as well.

On the flip side, we used to have a rule at work that you should never reply to an e-mail just to say thank you and you really shouldn't reply to a thank you e-mail just to say you're welcome...I realize interviewing is somewhat different than your run of the mill e-mail topic, but my point is simply that many people don't see the need to e-mail back just to say no problem or good luck.

Moral of the story: don't read into not getting an e-mail back...I for one don't remember getting one for either of the schools that I was accepted at. The same seems to apply for jobs...

Does anyone know the guidelines to inform the adcom about an update to your application? I just received news about a small promotion but don't know if it is too late since the R1s will find out in 5 days.

It probably is too late for a R1 applicant, but it can't hurt to send an email about your promotion.

And congratulations.

Did any EA admits receive information regarding credentials verification? I had submitted my tuition deposit, but have yet to receive instructions on it - in the acceptance package, it said they were going to provide the info after the deposit.

Thanks!! That real helped :) Coz I did not get the reply. On the other hand, I just wrote one line email to thank my interviewer that too on the next day coz of some very weird unavoidable circumstances .... Does that put a bad impression ?
