Non-native speaker is here :)

I've just noticed a misprint in my Resume: I wrote UNIVERCITY rather than UNIVERSITY.
Is it a "death sentence" or I may alleviate the situation and should e-mail operational team to change my Resume before Adcoms start to read our applications?

In my opinion they probably won't see the mistake. It's a word that is present in 95% of the resumes they read, so they probably skim it. However, if you send an email then all the AdCom members will know.

There are posts on this thread that convince that wharton does not need the official GMAT before with the submission.

Does anyone with "firsthand" knowledge know if they need official GMAT before making a decision (admit)?
certainly do not want to risk it, but if adcom has categorically said they do not need it before admit then that'd be great

Dear JK12 - You don't need the official scores till you get admission. I quote from the wharton FAQ page: "You may self-report your GMAT score; if you are admitted you will need to submit an official GMAT score report to our office before you can matriculate. If we are unable to locate your official score sent by ETS, we will confirm your score with ETS by telephone."

in for rd 2!

guys I have a question hope somebody can help...

one highly respected faculty member... albeit from another School at the university (high-ranking govt official from my country last term) who knows me pretty well is willing to submit extra recommendation directly to the AdCom...

I am not sure if that helps... and potentially how much? or if it does not help because the AdCom had to match the rec to my file etc...

I made a mistake in my self-reported transcript while filling it at the last minute. I missed a complete course in self-reported transcript because in my transcript it was right below another course that had the same grade (and the garde was not good). All other things, such as GPAs came out fine. I am concerned; can I do something now?

If they quote it on their webpage then I normally would assume it should be fine; but everyone on this forum seems to think it is risky.. i can not make sense why if they say it on the webpage.

The only time they'd look at your official transcript is after you've been admitted. And I doubt they'll revoke admission over such a trivial mistake esp if it wasn't that bad of a grade or as relevant. Now if it was an F in corporate finance or something then they might get more suspicious but I doubt thats the case!

There's no risk - I doubt they'll even go in to the system and check the score for all applicants.. why would they waste time checking official scores of 6000-7000 applicants when they only need to do it for 1200 of them. This would only make sense if there was a high percentage of applicants lying about their score and I'm sure that doesn't happen.

The grade was a well above passing but a grade lower than my GPA and was in engineering courses. In my offical transcript 2 courses with that same grade were consecutive, and due to last minute job I apparently inadvertently missed one entire line. GPAs etc for all other parts semester/cumulative are reported fine in self-reported transcript

Dear JK - To each one his own... we are entitled to our fears and prejudices. As far as I am concerned... I typically go by what the official position is - which in this case I have already shared. However, given that all these speculations have clearly put you at unease - you might be better off actually asking ETS to submit the scores and put the issue to rest. Purely in my opinion - you don't have any reason to worry...

Haven't you asked this on like 3 or so different threads now? The only way to get "firsthand" knowledge is to e-mail the school and ask the question directly. Quite frankly, I don't think they would care about having your official report before making an offer (maybe except MIT Sloan because they require your official transcripts at the interview too). Just ask the school. Or better yet, just send the report. I think this is more trivial among application issues. Or maybe you should worry about that once you find out if you have an interview or not

On the Wharton website it makes it very clear in the application instructions that official GMAT and Transcripts are due ONLY if you are admitted to the program. They will be checked and if there is any discrepancy between what you self-reported and the official report they will rescind your offer.

Hope that helps!
