Just got my phone call at 8:30 -- I'm in! Very excited and definitely going to accept.

The lady on the phone mentioned that my application status would change by sometime tomorrow.

Congrats to the other future Yalies and best of luck to everyone else!

In too! Just got the call, probably from the same person as bschoolbrian I bet. Anyone know when the info will come about about grants/scholarships/etc?

Also... admitted student's weekend is the same weekend as Tuck! Ahhh! wtf am I going to do? I guess it's a good problem to have, so I won't complain.

Good luck to everyone else! I'm sure tons of calls will be coming in over the next few days/week.

Does anyone know when we might hear about scholarships / fellowships? Would this information come with the admit pack, or would it have been communicated on the call?

Congratulations to all the R2 admits.

Scholarship information is usually communicated during the phone call. If not, they will definitely have the information in the letter. A lot of the scholarships are named, meaning that one has to meet specific requirements to be considered for them (all scholarships are considered for all applicants). Some are merit based, others require specific requirements - such as one's background, future goals, etc. All the named scholarship info can be found on the YSOM website. There's chance that scholarships might open up later if it was offered to someone and that person ends up matriculating elsewhere, etc.

For those of you guys who have other admitted student weekend events in the same wknd as YSOM, trust your gut. Whichever school attracts more to you (for whatever reasons), attend that school's weekend. At least you will know for sure whether you will love the school or not, afterwards.

Round 3 deadline, Round 2 decisions

Although campus is quiet right now with students away on Spring Break — and traveling around the world on their International Experience trips and other journeys — things are very busy here in the Admissions Office. There are less than 24 hours before our Round 3 application deadline, which closes at 5pm Eastern Time on Thursday, March 17. At the same time, we are continuing to review Round 2 applications in advance of next Friday’s decision notification date. We will release a handful of decisions before next Friday, but the vast majority of decisions will go out then. Best of luck to Round 3 applicants as they put the finishing touches on their applications, and to Round 2 applicants as they await a decision from us. If any of you have any questions, do not hesitate to email us at [email protected] or post a question on our discussion boards.

Internationals tend to get the email. If you are in Canada or Mexico (same time zone as US), you could get the phone call. But in general, email.

Got a call yesterday at 5pm. 740/3WE/3.8GPA/male/DC

Two questions. (1) have any admitted students been given scholarship info over the phone? (2) Yale vs. Duke??? I have 4 days to submit my deposit to Fuqua!!!
