Hey guys!

Just wanted to give a little insight for those of you that will be interviewing. I had mine yesterday and everyone was extremely nice (obviously).

Interview was 30min, but we went over a little (seems like they build enough time in the schedule to go over 5-10min).. my interviewer gave me his background, then we dove into my story. he asked me to run through my resume, why mba, why now, why yale. very basic, expected questions.

Thanks for sharing, was it a second-year student or an adcom? Any unusual questions?

was a second-year student. only unusual question was around why i needed an mba as i did an undergrad business program at Ross, but that of course doesn't apply to most applicants. he seemed very interested in what i like to do outside of work (i.e. sports and outdoor activities i'd made reference to) so i'd be prepared to speak about that. you'll kill it i'm sure!

Does anyone know how much having two typos and 4-5 missed commas hurt the chances of admission?

Don't worry. I have been through that nervous stage too, checking everything again. That shouldn't hurt if you have a strong case. I heard that the Adcom expects to see typos. No one is perfect:)

yep, i've signed up for it. i did the cornell one last week and found it very useful - lots of great application and interview tips for the particular school but also in general when applying to bschool.

second year students were off all of last week, and had exams the week before that, so that could have contributed to the slowdown in invites. i don't work in/for admissions though, so i can't know for sure.
