In my cover letter I used a paragraph to describe how I have contributed to my team withe a very specific project. Then below that I stated how over XX year in this jobs I added YY in revenue and income for WE 1 and added XX years in WE2 added YY in revenues.

Hey everyone,

We've been working on new ways to better assist everyone in their business school research and school selection. As part of that effort, we've created school guides for a handful of schools and we'd like your feedback. For now, think of these school guides as a beta. If there's anything that you'd like to see added to the guide, please let us know! If you find these guides to be helpful, we'll build similar guides for all of the other top schools.

MIT (Sloan) Business School Guide

Other Business School Guides

Avernusaur, I can't thank you enough!

I know this is relevant to someone else who was in this forum (HKS MIT joint application). I asked on the online chat regarding when they evaluated the application for joint-degree applicants and was informed that I may have been given the wrong information. They'll evaluate you as a regular candidate so the round you apply in will matter. Previously I had been told that it didn't matter when you submitted, joint-degree applicants would all be reviewed after January, but this seems to be false now based on the response I got at the chat.

Six days til application is due!!! Good luck to all R1 applicants :)
We will have to wait a long time, according to online chat today, the adcm say they review in Nov + Dec applications and in dec + jan they sent out interview invites. They also said last year they interviewed between 800-1000 applicants and had 4700 applications, so it's about 20% interview invites.

Is MIT Sloan friendly to reapplicants? What are usually the key things that reapplicants have to show in their reapplication to succeed? Career progress? Volunteer activities, or just a better crafted essay?

At the information session I attended the admissions officer indicated that MIT Sloan is very friendly to reapplicants. Not sure how that translates.

Has anyone here considered their LGO program, I know there is a different thread for that, but was curious to know if you considered and why you did not proceed. On the face of it it seems pretty attractive?

I'm from an engineering background. The LGO looks great, but I'm not really as interested in technical stuff post-MBA, so that's why I'm not considering it. Several alumni that I spoke to at an information session felt that they wouldn't gain as much from the Masters in Engineering side since they already had a degree in Chemical Engineering and were from heavy lab/science backgrounds.

I actually have a chme degree but then you can also do a degree in one of the other Engg disciplines... I guess what do you really lose? The cost seems to be less than the mba... I guess if you wanted to do ib or finance only then maybe not, but what else?

Looking at placement stats, you have all kinds of people hiring - consulting, finance In addition to operations...

Is anyone visiting MIT on 25th? Their LGO day.. Would have liked to hook up!
