Hi,
I applied to University last week. The application was submitted online and the rest of the materials were sent in an application packet( this included the transcript+ 2 recommendations sealed and signed across the seal). Today I had an interview scheduled and at the end of the interview the interviewer asked me why the transcript and the two recommendations were opened. He said that they reached in a state where the three envelopes had been opened by a letter opener. He said they have to decide if they can accept it and would let me know. Else i might have to send the things again.
Do you think it could have happened? ( I cant believe it)
I talked to DHL and they said that the dont open envelopes but the customs might have. I am still wondering why the custom would open an envelope consisting of papers only.
Do you have any idea about this Or was it just a question to see how I react.

Mohighmin,
I have never heard of this happening before, but certainly do whatever the school asks you to to make amends. Don't react defensively, just explain that you believe it was customs or don't know how it happened; "What do I need to do now?"
