ESP 2nd year international student...

I feel things will improve in the long term but it is tough for people returning to finish their MBA.

Yeah man! Atleast prospective students have a choice of not applying

I really hope that this is just part of the current administration's re-election rheoteric. Clamping down on immigrants, jobs first for Americans etc.

Given how much Trump has flip flopped on his policies, I can see him rolling back these policies after the elections in November. But how much will recruiters be wary of recruiting foreign workers is a cause for concern. You cannot hope to run your business by relying on the President's mercy and praying that your workforce will not be deemed illegal overnight.

As an international (Indian) student, I cannot help but apply to just 1 or 2 schools in the US now.
:(

B-schools can be pragmatic and push deadlines past the election result announcement in November. A Biden victory might help in allaying fears of folks who are still interested in applying.

I feel sorry for these international folks, but the positive aspect is to get schools running.

American Dream has turned into an Expensive American Nightmare.
Feel bad for kids - I hope next generation will learn and go to countries like Canada/UK where immigration policies aren't run by crazy corrupt lawyers and dumb right wing politicians.

Hi workout /guys,
Can we have a discussion on how international students are viewing these developments on the next YouTube session? I'm sure that a discussion on how things are changing for people in the States and on how it's affecting international students would be something that would interest quite a few people and would be a fascinating topic!

Thanks

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/14/us/c ... visas.html

It's official, "U.S. Rescinds Plan to Strip Visas From International Students in Online Classes" !

Harvard and MIT suing the Trump administration did work in favor of the international students.
