It is almost always advisable to alternate between different tasks for higher productivity. I have not tried Target Test myself, but the general rule applies here.

Remember to also incorporate official questions and mock tests into your schedule. Good luck!

Also - anyone tried their Verbal/any thoughts?

Thanks!
Hi mariarl,
I am working through the TTP course myself. :)
I have completed approx. 70% of the CR modules.
Their verbal content is very rigorous and well structured, but I found their explanations to be a tad complicated. YMMV!
Here's a link to my review of TTP Verbal.
Happy learning!

Hi mariarl.

I’m thrilled to hear that you are using TTP! Also, I’m glad to see that you will be using us for verbal as well as quant. The good news is that, even in the pre-beta version, the TTP GMAT Verbal Course is a powerful resource. It includes an in-depth examination of CR concepts and strategies and a comprehensive treatment of SC that non-native speakers of English are finding understandable and effective. So, in addition to mastering quant by using TTP Quant, you’ll get a ton out of our verbal course. Regarding your question about how best to proceed, I think the best practice would be to study quant and verbal together, according to the way in which we have the topics laid out in our study plan. In fact, if you can follow the study plan and complete the course, in full, you’ll be in an awesome spot for test day.

If you have any further questions about TTP, feel free to reach out to me directly.

Let’s do this!!

Hi mariarl,
I think everyone have given their thoughts already, nevertheless adding my two cents here
1. TTP is the best for Quant and they a very comprehensive material, which alone could take you heights
I scored Q38 in my Diagnostic and I am scoring a consistent Q50/51 in the mocks now. I have completed the entire TTP Quant course. As DisciplinedPrep mentioned, it would be great if you could just trust ScottTargetTestPrep and Target Test Prep and follow the course models as it is. This worked wonders for me!
2. As far as Verbal is concerned TTP has the Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction concept modules and the Practice modules are being added every week.
-I have completed the verbal module as well, but I mostly used it as a revision ground. For Verbal in particular, I feel TTP combined with Manhattan book for SC and PowerScore CR Bible will be great. You can utilise GMATClub for practice questions, as it is the best !
-From my verbal preparation experience, any course is as much as you get out of it. So, it depends on how much skill you acquire through the process. And you should practice.
As far as strategy is concerned, you can blindly follow TTP.
Wish you all the best for your preparations

Hi guys :)

I have just started to prepare for GMAT and after much research I decided to go with TTP to improve my Quant score and was pleasantly surprised to hear and see they are now offering their pre beta version of Verbal too.

Anyways, I took one mock test only, before start studying, (from Global Expert - 630 41Q 35V) and I am aiming at 730-750, so a lot to improve..

Since I need to improve both Q and V, but I def believe I can leverage better my math background, I decided to start with Quant. My question: should I do all my quant prep first then move to verbal? or should I alternate between both (this is how TTP is scheduled at the moment, btw).

Also - anyone tried their Verbal/any thoughts?

Thanks!

I think you should plan your study methodically with weekly targets and try to complete one section say ALGEBRA first and then move to next topic in quants or verbal

Hey - yes, I meant Experts Global my bad haha.

Ideally I would like to take it 2 months.

Edit: I am working from home at least for the next 35 days which helps allocating time to study. I have a the next 6 days off so am dedicating long hours to kick off the prep (6-7 hours/day) but on a normal basis I would like to do 3hours/day on week days + 6ish/weekends.

Edit2: I am no stranger to long study hours and I've finished engineering school less than 2 years ago, so it hasn't been that long.

I do feel that the fact i had slept 4 hours before taking the mock test had an effect on my quant score but I am not overthinking it since I am aware I usually make careless mistakes even with a full night of sleep haha.

Hey!
Did you manage to finish TTP both Quant and Verbal?

If so, how long did it take?

Hi Genoa,

Are you currently using TTP?

Yes, it's a week I have started and I have religiously studied 3 hours per day (4 on the weekend days) so far.

That's great to hear! You are following the study plan?

Genoa - Target Test Prep course offers serious material for serious test-takers. It is designed to achieve a very high score on the GMAT. Therefore, however much intense you find the course to be, I would sincerely advise you to stick to the study plan. That said, I have removed the chapter tests' screenshot from your last comment because we at GMAT Club do not encourage sharing any copyrighted content. You are right DisciplinedPrep ; I am sorry for the screenshot, I didn't know that

It's absolutely fine, for you were not aware of the forum rules and policies. Thanks for your understanding.

Any comments? In a situation like the one in the photo should I still do all the tests? If you tell me that is important I will try to stick to it even though it sounds a bit repetitive and time-consuming ScottTargetTestPrep MartyTargetTestPrep

I think the best thing you can do is follow the study plan and complete the course in full.
