For family reasons, I know that I will need to work in Florida when I get out of B-School. My realistic target schools are ranked ~20ish (USC, UT Austin, Emory).

Since I know that I will be looking for jobs in Florida, Emory's higher-ranked program in Atlanta is obviously my first choice. However, if I'm not admitted, I'll be faced with: 'USC or UT' vs. 'U of Florida.'

I'm trying to understand if it makes more sense to go to the lower-ranked program at U of Florida (37) rather than attend the higher-ranked programs at USC and UT (20's) since they 'TYPICALLY' don't place their graduates outside of their respective states.

I would agree with the previous post. Emory is a great school and so is UT. Make sure to start looking at what firms in Florida you'd shoot for before b-school. Make those connections in case you go out of state to Texas or Atlanta.
