Hello All, am relatively new here and trying to get the hang of the application process. Been through a lot in the last 12 months but am sure we all have our issues.
I do have a question that most people may also have;
Does anyone think using MBA Admissions Consultants is useful, its expensive so l really need some advice/input here if anyone
has used them or finds them valuable for admissions into schools like Harvard, Wharton, Booth, Stanford?
Any input/advice is appreciated, thanks All..

Hey there, Jon here from Admissionado. We get this question a lot so I thought I'd chime in here. There are so many things that a good admissions consultant can help you do. First, a strong consultant will help you identify your unique story. That might sound simple but the truth is many people don't know what makes them unique, in part because they haven't read hundreds of applications the way an experienced consultant has. We know what's unique & what's cliche when it comes to how to talk about your background, your goals, etc. In addition to that, a consultant helps you take your unique story or your value proposition & develop a strategy for how to use each piece of your application to SHOW it. Because we can't just expect the adcom to take your word for the fact that you're a great candidate with something unique to offer. We've got to prove it to them via your stories & examples - again, painting a strong, clear, unique story that's going to make you stand out from thousands of other applicants. Many people go into MBA apps just thinking about how they're going to answer xyz essay question but the truth is the stronger approach is to develop your overall strategy first in terms of the story you want to tell and THEN figure out how you're going to use each piece of the application to tell it.
