The problem is X.
The problem = subject
is = verb
X = complement
Since X itself is a clause (Disney's ability to take control of some of the best-known characters quickly = subject, is = verb, very limited = complement), a 'that' must be placed before Disney's.
Hence, none of the options can be considered correct.

Wouldn't this sentence read more correctly as:
"The problem is that Disney's ability to take control of some of the best-known characters quickly is very limited."?

Yes. An addition of "that" will make it correct.

I agree the addition of "that" before Disney will make (A) correct. As it is currently written, the sentence is incomplete.

I think this is a poor-quality question and the explanation isn't clear enough, please elaborate.

can a company or an organization have an ability? The "abilities" are properties of a person or living being?
