Has anyone who applied R1 received a decision yet? I've heard back from another one of my top-choice schools and I have to give them my decision a week or two before Owen's accept/deny emails even come out (according to Owen's website). When I interviewed Consuela said I could let them know if I would like them to move my app to the top of the pile for situations like this (well, she didn't put it like that but...) so I was wondering if I need to do that now. I don't want to turn down the other (with scholarship) and not get into Owen. Thanks and Good luck!!

I would ask them right away to do so and leave yourself enough time to make a decision. I went through the same issue with a different school and managed to expedite my application two weeks before their official decision date.

Sorry for the late response MBA0G2015, are they going to expedite your decision? Personally I based my decisions on some factors: During my visit to Vandy I felt welcomed, there was not a single person I met that I didn't feel a connection with. I really felt that they really want their students to thrive and are not only a number for their stats. The class size is fairly big but from everything I've learned it's a pretty close knit community. Finally, they have great connections with top consulting firms and a great leadership program. And its SEC! Great basketball, baseball and their football program is on the rise. Combine that with Nashville, one of my favorite cities in the US and you get a winner haha. Don't want to bore you with more but PM me if you want me to go on.

this is one intrusive application! i'm new to applying for us business schools (so far have been finishing up Canadian mba apps) so maybe this is the norm, but the app wants to know my income, family income, father's job, mother damn college degrees! My app for kelley is not at all this intrusive. Is this normal for us apps?

I was thinking the same thing when I filled it out. Not sure why that's important. Actually, from a school's perspective I guess I do but I would hope that's not how they make a decision. None of the other schools I applied to asked me that.
