Hello everyone,

I've been studying for 2,5 months now and I've done these CAT's:

GMAT Prep
Exam 1 640 Q46 V31 nov 22
Exam 2 700 Q48 V38 dec 14

Veritas
Veritas 1 620 Q44 V31 nov 23
Veritas 2 620 Q42 V33 dec 6
Veritas 3 650 Q47 V32 dec 7
Veritas 4 680 Q45 V38 dec 8
Veritas 5 670 Q47 V35 dec 12
Veritas 6 680 Q48 V36 dec 13
Veritas 7 670 Q44 V38 dec 15

GMAT Club
Free Test 650 Q41 V38 dec 10
Quant CAT 1: 37 dec 9
Quant CAT 2: 46 dec 10
Quant CAT 3: 43 dec 10

Manhattan
Free Test 680 Q46 V36 dec 16

My exam is in three days and my goal is 680, but I'll be satisfied if I don't get less than 650. Based on my mocks, what score do you think I'm more likely to get on the actual exam? Do you reccomend me to take the free kaplan test? Or some revision?

I really appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

Hi AnabelaCruz,

To start, you should STOP taking practice Exams. You've essentially taken a practice test of some sort each day for the last 11 days and that is far too many tests for such a short period of time. With that type of volume, you run the risk of 'burn out' before Test Day - and that is something that you want to avoid. This is all meant to say that you should stick to some light review for the next few days and try to get some extra rest (so that you can go into Test Day clear-headed and ready to work). All things being equal, you certainly appear to have the necessary knowledge to score 650+, so it's really just a matter of whether you're prepared to tackle the FULL GMAT under test-like conditions or not.

Hi Rich,

Thank you so much for your reply. You are right, I should stop taking mocks... but I became so addicted in seeing how much I could score... In almost all of the tests I did, specially the last ones, I tried to replicate the exact same conditions of the real exam, in terms of time and breaks. I never felt exhausted but I was always so glad to be over.
I don't want to feel this way in the actual exam. So thank you for your device.

What did you get on your official GMAT?

I've taken 3 Veritas test within the last 3 weeks and have gotten: 670 (Q46 V36) 660 (Q47 V34) and 650 (Q45 V35). I am curious how the Veritas CATs do in comparison to the actual GMAT.

I am always of the belief that people should do much better during the actual exam. Personally, I tend to rush in the last 10-15 questions of each section during mocks because I know (even though unconsciously) that these scores don't matter. From my experience, you wouldn't rush through the final questions of each section during the actual test.

With everything said I think you should score between 670-700. Best of luck anyway! and do let us know how it goes.

I wish I knew how you performed? Because I want to get a clue about how you performed in your real exam compared to practice tests?
