Looking for some advice regarding Mock tests.
I have 4 weeks + a few days to go for my second GMAT attempt, and I plan to take one mock each Sunday, Today I tried Veritas free mock. While no one can match official test quality, the issue that troubled me and put me off too much was the lag in the test.
At times it kept loading for over a minute and the counter kept running away, needless to say that I had to rush through the verbal section to finish in time. I was wondering if this is just today or is the Veritas test laggy in general, has anyone else faced this issue?
I had zeroed on Veritas mock for two reasons. (apart from being free with GMAT club rewards system)
1. I read other Mocks such as MGMAT, have quant which is too tough and as my quant is weaker, I do not want my motivation to go kaput (like it does when I attempt GMAT club quant test
)
2. Good overall reviews on the forum. I did find their SC questions a bit too long but I guess the test marked me as a higher-level test taker.
Looking for suggestions, I have only two official mocks left and wish to keep them for last two tests.

Hey,
When I took the veritas mock, it was fine. Maybe a little slower than the official mock but I really didn’t notice much (could be cuz I was too stressed out).
Honestly, I found the veritas mocks to be more difficult than others (that’s already generally what I read from others). I loved their books though. So I went for mgmat’s mocks instead. Mgmat’s quant is a little harder than the actual test (still much easier compared to gmat club) but I think their verbal pretty good. However, the difficult of mocks from different platforms is also subjective to the person. It is possible that I find a certain mock more challenging than your experience and vice versa.
I would suggest if you don’t mind spending some more money then go for mgmat mocks. Or else continue with the veritas mock but check your browser/internet/laptop speed and close any other applications/tabs. Try out one more mock to see whether the issue persists. You can use gmat club’s quant test for practicing alternate days or something.

How would you position MGMAT quant vs Veritas on mock?
Yes, verbal was full of unyieldingly long SC and RC questions.
